The goal in this exciting and challenging solitaire variation is to build up, by suit, card piles from Ace to King and King to Ace. You play with two full card decks in this game, so to build the card piles, you will use a total of eight slots. These slots are located in a row at the top of the screen, and have a slightly faded appearance. Below these slots is the playing field, in which you can move the cards around and build up long strings of cards by suit, in both up and down directions. Empty columns in the playing area can be filled with any card.

At the bottom of the screen is a row of reserve piles. Click the “deal” button to add more cards to the reserve piles. The final deal of each game is dealt to the playing field instead of onto the reserve piles.

Cards can be moved to the build piles from either the playing area or the reserve area, and they can also be moved between the build piles and from the build piles to the playing area. In this version of solitaire, you can only move one card at a time. To put cards into the build piles, you can either double click or drag-and-drop. All other card movement is by drag-and-drop.

Features include:
- drag and drop cards
- undo button (only the last card moved)
- a display showing game stats: number of games won, lost and the current and longest winning streak
- a display showing game instructions
- a button to reset game stats
- game state will be saved in the event you are interrupted
-no interference with iPhone or iPod audio

Pros and cons of Algerian Patience Solitaire app for iPhone and iPad

Algerian Patience Solitaire app good for

Runs nicely, plays well. A fun alternative solitaire game with a fairly good chance of winning but no guarantee.
A seemingly simple game, but with a deceptively complex and multi-layered strategy. Impressive animation and ease of movement add up to make this app a winner.
This game is soo much for and so adictive it deserve more poblisty it sould be in the top 25!
Totally addicting, I have trouble putting it down sometimes. Im glad this is finally on my phone.
All games seem to be winnable once you get good but will still give you a challenge. Good time filler for waiting in line or at dentist, whatever, cause you can get right back to where you were after dropping out for a text or something. Hint: concentrate on revealing cards not on getting them put away.
I love the game but it doesnt work on any of my devices since I upgraded.

Some bad moments

Great app until Last release. Now one of the worst graphic ever seen. Really difficult to play.
I would love to give this app 5 stars because when it works, its tons of fun. Unfortunately, it crashes often forcing me to delete and reinstall over and over again.
I have Algerian Patience on my PC and this was such a disappointment.... The game is good, the graphics and button location are horrendous... I have it on my iPod & my iPad and the graphics on the iPad are doubly horrendous, it feels like a waste of my money..... Update the graphics and rearrange your buttons and I will give you 5 stars.
I loved this game and played it all the time... Until I updated my phone. Now it no longer works :(
This app was updated without my permission to a slower version with practically unreadable cards. I have no option to change the deck. Plus they erased my stats. Boo. But I like flambeau valleys version of the game so will likely put up with it.
Love the game but there are too many glitches. It will suddenly refuse to deal cards or will freeze a card so it cant be played
